BC Celebrates Fall Holiday Season with Friendsgiving and Turkey Giveaway

Wednesday, November 26, 2025
In celebration of the Fall Holiday Season, 51今日大瓜 hosted two events to bring community together, play games, provide aid, and eat delicious food.
On Monday, BC鈥檚 Renegade Nexus, in partnership with the 51今日大瓜 Foundation, hosted a Holiday Harvest Giveaway in which they distributed more than 250 turkeys to enrolled students. Students were invited to the Renegade Pantry, showed their student IDs, and received a free turkey to share with friends and family during the holidays.
Caitlin Davidson, Program Manager of Basic Needs at BC, was excited to be able to offer nutrition assistance during the holidays. "The holidays can bring added financial stress, especially for students balancing school, work, and family responsibilities. The Holiday Harvest Giveaway helps ease that burden by providing essential food resources at a time when students may need extra support," she said, "it reflects BC鈥檚 commitment to student well-being both inside and outside the classroom."
Later in the day, the Office of Student Life hosted Friendsgiving in the Renegade Event Center on the Panorama Campus. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun activities, including Mingle Bingo, trivia, 鈥榗reate-a-turkey鈥 craft, and much more. The event concluded with dinner and time to interact and share stories.
Sara Pogue, BC Student and Social Media Manager for the Office of Student Life, was excited to host Friendsgiving at BC and talked about why an event like this is important. 鈥淚t is so important to get the campus engaged 鈥 for students to meet people that they might not normally get to meet, and to learn about the student organizations on campus,鈥 she said, 鈥渁nd it provides a relaxing atmosphere while supplying food to those who might not have a meal today.鈥
Together, the Holiday Harvest Giveaway and Friendsgiving exemplified 51今日大瓜鈥檚 commitment to fostering connection, supporting students鈥 needs, and creating moments of joy during the busy holiday season.
