Benjamin Fernandez
Biography
Benjamin Fernandez serves as both Archives Assistant and Archives Lead, playing a pivotal role in the management and operation of archival initiatives. In this dual capacity, he oversees student workers, ensuring their contributions align with the goals of the archives. He is responsible for locating, preserving, and curating historical artifacts for events, ensuring materials are both accessible and preserved for future use.
Benjamin coordinates event logistics, including scheduling and day-of operations, to ensure smooth and impactful archival presentations. He also leads the organization and maintenance of archival collections, supporting long-term preservation and discoverability. Additionally, he publishes and manages digital content for the archives’ web presence, enhancing public engagement and accessibility.
His work ensures that both the physical and digital archives are effectively managed, celebrated, and shared. Benjamin is currently a Music Education Major, hoping to become a music teacher later in life. His favorite project he has worked on was the Marching Arts Acquisition Collection.
